  • Research, Design and development of technique of keeping the backbone network of VBN current leveraging on the technology improvement by Vendors (such as CISCO, ECI, Oracle Sun, IBM etc.) and the international standard organizations (e.g. IEEE).
  • Leadership role in knowledge sharing and supporting of the CSOC Proactive and Provision teams on issues relating to the core network of Vodacom Busines.
  • Cost analysis of the proposed design (by Vendor) prior to acceptance.

  • Decision on the best location for the Satellite Antenna (3.8m Prodelin Antenna)
  • Instructing the Civil Engineers on the Required grade for the Antenna platform
  • Instructing the Welders on the required size of the pedestal
  • Instructing the Telecoms Engineers on the specifications required for the antenna assembly
  • Training of the Telecom Engineers on the process of Antenna Alignment (dish pointing), Polarization and Feed alignment
